Should Directors be Liable if they are not Technically Literate?

A discussion on how Blockchain and other emerging technologies are about to transform business systems and the implications for executive management

The October guest speaker will be Mark Toohey.  Mark is a highly experienced commercial lawyer who has worked with a number of major law firms as well as spending time as general counsel working for firms in the Television, Telecommunications and IT industries. Mark is also Australia’s leading legal expert on Blockchain technology and its implementation in commercial environments. He is the co-founder of TBSx3, a brand protection company.

TBSx3 uses the power of Blockchain technology and three patented layers of protection to detect supply chain anomalies and to defeat counterfeiters. The TBSx3 technology is backed by a mobile App that alerts consumers if the goods are fake.

A light lunch will be served at 1pm and a cash bar will be operating. The discussion will commence at 1:30pm. Gentlemen are required to wear suit and tie, with ladies required to dress accordingly, (dress or slack suit).
